Andrea Schewe is a costume designer for Simplicity Patterns. Not only is she a costume designer, but she has great experience in modifying everyday patterns that you or I would use. To get a glimpse of her expertise in everyday language, see video she did for Threads Magazine.
Andrea is visiting Santa Barbara for a short time. She has agreed to teach this class presented by Grant House.

Andrea reached out to me this past fall after finding Sew Santa Barbara. We emailed back and forth and now I can call her my friend.
Upon her arrival in January, Andrea stopped by to borrow my daughter's sewing machine. My daughter was leaving to go back to college. Andrea was chatting with her and was looking at her portfolio of sewing projects.
Sure enough, Andrea's name was on that pattern!
Read about Andrea's stay in Santa Barbara in her blog post, Design Studio West.
